Abstract: A survey of sites of pain and suggestions for relieving pain was sent to Texas harpists. A total of 29 harpists returned the survey, which included sketches on which to shade in areas of pain. Results indicated the highest incidence of pain was in the back (59%), followed by the neck and shoulders, each at 55%. Harpists offered a variety of suggestions for preventing and managing pain.
