Integrins in cancer progression and therapy

Abstract: Several integrins have been identified that play important roles in promoting tumor cell growth and metastasis, as well as tumor angiogenesis. Antagonists of these integrins have shown potential as inhibitors of tumor growth and metastasis, and clinical trials currently underway are evaluating their usefulness in cancer treatment.
