Abstract: Despite the widespread use of modern radiotherapy in diagnosis and treatment, many physicians remain unware of the basic "pharmacology" of the radiation prescribed. For example, the high-energy photons (i.e., x-rays and g-rays) are bosons, electrons and positrons are leptons, and protons and neutrons are hadrons.
